Estimator / Buying Assistant

We are a fast-growing commercial landscape company looking for highly driven Estimator / Buying Assistant. We are looking for a highly motivated and quick learner to join our team. Our ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment focused on delivering quality service to our growing customer base. You'll be working with Mike, our Lead Buyer and Estimator. You'll learn the software tools and knowledge required to estimate both residential and commercial landscaping projects. You will also be placing landscaping material orders with our amazing distributors and vendors.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Estimate material, labor and equipment costs for incoming jobs to ensure profitability
• Assist in preparation of contracts and purchase orders for proper accounting

Prerequisite Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Landscaping and construction experience required

• Able to read and interpret blueprints
• Plant and basic landscaping knowledge preferred
• Excellent time management skills
• Administrative skills and computer knowledge
• Estimating experience preferred, but not required
• Proficient in Excel
• Experience with Takeoff Software preferred, but not required
